Yesterday evening (April 26) our Association celebrated Canada’s National Volunteer Week by hosting a Volunteer Recognition/Celebration event at our Kelly Park Community Garden. At the gathering we saluted the many volunteers who have contributed their time to help our Association achieve our goal of creating a stronger, more connected town. Among this group, our Association selected four outstanding individuals who have contributed a significant amount of time to build a community where people feel happier, healthier, and more welcome – creating a stronger, more connected Canada, a stronger and more connected Town of Logy Bay- Middle Cove- Outer Cove.
The following recipients: Michelle Hickey, Karen Youden Walsh, Rita Kennedy and Cole Inkpen, were presented with a framed National Volunteer Week’s Certificate of Appreciation Award by our Association’s Chair Steve Walsh. Along with family and friends and our Board members, we were joined by Mayor Denis Hickey, and MHA Joedy Wall, District of Cape St. Francis, along with his Executive Assistant Barbara Hudson. Thanks to everyone who joined us in this celebration.
Our Board offers congratulations to all recipients, and all other volunteers who have helped us over the years! # BuildingCommunityTogether
