Ignacia Díaz and her family have proudly called Logy Bay home for the past six years. They were drawn to the area by the strong sense of community, the forested trails, and the beautiful coastline that make it such a special place. She joined the association in 2025.
Ignacia holds a Master’s degree in Applied Psychological Sciences from Memorial University and works at the Office of the Seniors’ Advocate as a Policy Analyst. She has a background in research, policy analysis, knowledge transfer, and advocacy, with experience in both the nonprofit and public sectors. These roles have taught her the importance of listening carefully, weighing evidence, and making thoughtful, community-focused decisions.
She is passionate about knowledge-based, inclusive approaches to local development that reflect residents’ voices and protect the unique character of the town. She is particularly interested in initiatives that support and engage youth, fostering opportunities for learning, creativity, and participation in community life.
Ignacia also volunteers as a board member of the St. John’s Tool Library, supporting community access to shared resources and sustainable living initiatives.
